Honestly, I read romances when I am in a bit of a reading slump. They&#8217;re almost always light and easy enough for me to enjoy and get back into reading.<\/p>\n<p>So I figured, let&#8217;s make a list of these fun romances I&#8217;ve read that I would love to see translated onto the big screen!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-2384 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/araopenpages.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/five-romances-for-the-big-screen.jpg\" alt=\"five romances for the big screen\" width=\"500\" height=\"245\" srcset=\"https:\/\/araopenpages.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/five-romances-for-the-big-screen.jpg 500w, https:\/\/araopenpages.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/five-romances-for-the-big-screen-300x147.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In no particular order, here are some of the romances I have enjoyed so much that I would not mind seeing them made into movies. Which, coming from someone who is always critical of book to screen adaptations, says A LOT.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>The Zoya Factor<\/em> by Anuja Chauhan<br \/>\nI finished this little rom-com of a book in one sitting, <a href=\"http:\/\/araopenpages.com\/?p=1461\">loved it so much<\/a> that I went and created <a href=\"http:\/\/ankahikoibaat.tumblr.com\/post\/122566216246\">a mock poster for a Bollywood film<\/a>. Where is my movie, Bollywood? Where is it???<\/li>\n<li><em>Ravishing The Heiress<\/em> by Sherry Thomas<br \/>\nHear me out, okay? In a world of numerous Austen adaptations, why can&#8217;t we have an arranged marriage trope written by someone else on screen? One that involves something a little more on the sexy end? (It was <a href=\"http:\/\/araopenpages.com\/?p=45\">a good read<\/a>, don&#8217;t judge me!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2385 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/araopenpages.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/8-love.jpg\" alt=\"8 - love\" width=\"540\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/araopenpages.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/8-love.jpg 540w, https:\/\/araopenpages.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/8-love-300x278.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>The Ugly Duchess<\/em> by Eloisa James<br \/>\nA little bit of a play on a fairytale, but fun enough to translate well onto the big screen, methinks. It&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/araopenpages.com\/?p=20\">witty and funny<\/a>, and there&#8217;s a lot of careful wooing. So long as they cast this right, it&#8217;d be a good film.<\/li>\n<li><em>Fangirl<\/em> by Rainbow Rowell<br \/>\nNow this isn&#8217;t a full-on romance, but the romantic elements of it would make for a good movie. I just <a href=\"http:\/\/araopenpages.com\/?p=411\">really loved<\/a> the way Cath and Levi fell in love, okay?<\/li>\n<li><em>When Dimple Met Rishi<\/em> by Sandhya Menon<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/araopenpages.com\/?p=2273\">Just<\/a> &#8211; *makes grabby hands motion at the world* &#8211; Give it to me, okay?
