Helen is also the Founding Editor of Writer\u2019s Edit, an online learning platform for emerging writers. In its first year, Writer\u2019s Edit reached thousands of new authors, and soon became its own small press, with Helen overseeing the production and publication of three creative writing anthologies. I\u2019ve been sitting on this review for over a month now. It took me a while to sit down and actually write it, but I am so glad I had the opportunity to be a part of this blog tour. This entire story has been such a treat to read.<\/p>\n

The conclusion of this fantastic trilogy continues with following our four main POVs – Bleak, whose past affects the war more than anyone had probably expected; Henri, whose strength she is finding is bolstered by learning to trust the people around her; Swinton, who cannot keep lying to himself and finds himself better for it; and Dash, whose entire world has turned upside down, but he still makes the best of it.<\/p>\n

Writing this review with no spoilers has been difficult, but! I\u2019m going to try.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve raved about the world building on Twitter, and a little in the previous reviews, and it carries on into this conclusion. All my questions from the previous books are answered. The world is fully realised, and everything comes to a head.<\/p>\n

And the stakes! Are so palpable! For all the characters! Not just the main four whose points we are seeing the story unfold in, but all the characters we see them interact with face high stakes that made me genuinely worried for their survival.<\/p>\n

There were a few twists that definitely did not see coming and that left me reeling! As a whole, this was a breathtaking and action-packed read, and I am a little bit bummed there will be nothing more in this world.<\/p>\n
