The formatting of the copy I got from the online library seemed a bit off, and that may have taken away from my ability to fully connect with her poetry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a bluntness to the poems that works for some people, but for me, it was a hit and miss. Some poems clicked with me, but overall the stream of consciousness of the poetry did not gel with me. I think a little less of the in your face-ness of the poetry might have been better for me, but I understand why people enjoy her poetry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She holds no bars, holds nothing back &#8211; she tells it as she sees it, and for some people, it is what they need. It did not work for me as a whole however, which was a little disappointing as I had rather high expectations.
