Don\u2019t know her, clearly!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Honestly, the juxtaposition between the Tea in the present, with the bard, and the Tea who is still learning to be a bone witch is stark and stunning, and it leaves so many questions as to what led to the transformation. And the story shows &#8211; not tells, which can be so difficult to achieve properly &#8211; how this happens slowly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While answering some questions, this sequel also poses so many more, and I think that\u2019s really interesting. We have some answers &#8211; how Kalen and Tea fall in love, what happened to Mykaela\u2019s heartglass, Aeneh\u2019s aims and who was helping her &#8211; but then also a whole bunch more, and I cannot wait to see how they unravel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having the protagonist of the story be the antagonist in a way is so interesting. We root for Tea, but at the same time, there are so many reasons we should also not be doing so &#8211; what exactly has she done to be on this path. What has led her here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I had a hard time putting this book down. It was so good to read, with so many relationships put on the line, so many things and beliefs shaken.
