September has come to an end, and with it, the official #GoodReadance2020<\/em><\/strong> as hosted by Shealea @ Shut Up, Shealea<\/em><\/a> comes to a close as well. If you’ve seen my BookTube video<\/a>, you would know that this was an initiative that really excited me, because I’ve been wanting to reorganise my Goodreads, and even the shelf I use for my BookTube filming. However, around mid-September, I wondered if I would even be able to cross off more than one thing on my short goal list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s see how I did with each individual goal!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Go through my TBR.<\/strong>
    I didn’t go through the ‘Want To Read’ shelf at first, instead going through the other shelves I had and removing things I don’t even remember adding. After that, I slowly made my way through the ‘Want To Read’ and began re-organising how I had shelved them, so this is a resounding YES, I achieved this.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
    • Post\/Update 2019\/2020 reviews.<\/strong>
      I realised upon going through all my books that there are A LOT of reviews I haven’t posted or linked. So I have decided to do this slowly instead of simply rushing through them and not being authentic.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      • Reorganise shelf filtering system.<\/strong>
        A resounding YES on this, and I am very proud of it, though I may later add a few more shelves as I feel I could have more breakdown in the types of books I read.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        • Edit ratings as necessary.<\/strong>
          I’ve done this for some, but I do want to go through my ‘Read’ books again eventually and see if anything has changed. Again, I think I have to do this slowly to be honest and authentic.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
          • Only keep friends with 25 similar books or more.<\/strong>
            For the most part, I kept to this, but there were a few people I didn’t want to unfollow and unfriend – people I know IRL, long-time online friends – so some of them I’ve kept while others I have unfollowed. I might start being a lot more discerning with friends I accept from here on out.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
            • IRL – finish shelving.<\/strong>
              I’ve been putting off reshelving my BookTube filming area because, well, I’ve been lazy, but this finally pushed me off my butt, so YES! I filmed it, so keep an eye out for that BookTube video too.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              I am very happy to say that I did better than expected in hitting my goals for #GoodReadance2020<\/em><\/strong>. I do still have to slowly go through my ‘Read’ shelf and see if any of the ratings need to be changed, and add reviews for at least the books I’ve read in the last few years, but other than that, my GoodReads has never looked better!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
