;series i haven’t finished (and don’t know why)

bookworm things

Hi, hello, and welcome to today’s edition of “Ara, What Are You Doing With Your Life And All Those Books.” Today, we will be talking about the book series I own and adore, and for some strange unquantifiable reason, have yet to complete!

No, I’m serious. I don’t even know why I haven’t finished these series yet. I enjoy them, I want to finish them, I just haven’t yet?

Someone help me?

series i haven't finished

Part of me thinks that I haven’t finished these series’ yet because if I do, then that means they are actually over…
  • Let us start with one that everyone has read and loved, and I scoured for the final book, and somehow still have not read it. The Raven Cycle! That is right, I have not completed The Raven Cycle. The last book has been sitting on my shelves since shortly after it came out. Why haven’t I read it? I don’t know! (I have somehow managed to keep from major spoilers though. Go figure.)
  • Another series I scoured the shops for? The Firebird Trilogy! I loved the first book, I was excited when I found a copy of the second – and yet somehow, books two and three remain on my shelves in the plastic covering they came in. What is wrong with me?

unfinished series

  • I adored the first two books in the Penryn And The End Of Days series. ADORED. I am super excited for the conclusion. SO WHY HAVE I NOT READ IT YET???? I could not tell you.
  • At least not having read the final book in The Illuminae Files trilogy has a justifiable reason. I can’t find a copy of the book in local bookstores. This one is not on me. I mean, not really? I could, arguably, order it from online but then I’m worried it won’t match the rest of the series covers…

curves

Does anyone else do this? Start a series they are super excited about and then for some weird reason, never complete it? Despite wanting to?

Just me?
