Books I Was Looking Forward To In 2021

I started a very ambitious blog post in 2020. I mean, at the time, it didn’t seem ambitious. It felt doable. Manageable, and with the amount I had read in 2020, it felt within my reach. And then 2021 happened, and slowly, I realised, no, I can’t do any of this, though I refused to admit defeat for at least half the year.

RIP 2021 me, you had high hopes.

Defeat wound up being admitted, this blog went on hiatus, and by the end of the year, I had all of one review up on the blog and had forgotten everything else I had read. I did read and write a bit of fanfiction though.

Still, those 2021 releases I was looking forward to are STILL on my TBR for the most part, and so I shall share them with you. Books I have heard good things about, books I still have rather a lot of excitement for – some I already own, some I’ve started reading and ALL remaining on my TBR.

When I started this post, I was planning to list out 21 books I was excited for. As my focus waned (thank you, pregnancy brain), that kept becoming shorter and shorter. I know there are many books that released in 2021 that are very much My Type, but I have missed so much. Only one book post the first half of the year made the list.
