Did you know I’ve not been able to find books that would fall under the New Adult classification in bookstores near me? I mean, until about a year ago, I used to think that New Adult books just weren’t there. Now I’ve realised the stories I am writing could probably be more accurately classified as New Adult rather than Young Adult, though there are overlaps. I watch a lot of TV shows. I don’t keep up with all of them, I will admit freely, but I start a lot of TV shows. And somehow, the ones I love the most get cancelled before a satisfactory resolution. It is a painful thing as a passionate TV fan to see happen. I am still not over the 24 hours where Brooklyn Nine Nine – my current favourite airing TV show – got cancelled. People in my life look at me weird when I say I enjoy Shakespeare. I haven’t read a lot of his plays, but what I have read, I’ve enjoyed. But to most people in my life, that is just Peak Geek and Too Much for them. I embrace the geekiness. Unfortunately, I will admit, I have not read a lot of adaptations. Loose ones, sure. recipe; portobello mushroom burger
I was never a huge fan of mushroom burgers. Or maybe I just never found one I enjoyed. And then while we were in Auckland, the husband and I had a hankering for burgers and I found this recipe. At the time, I couldn’t find everything in that recipe at the shops, so I adapted. As I do. And it was yum. I’ve used this marinade a couple of times for mushrooms without the bread, and it’s just as yum. I’ve made this with both white and apple cider vinegar, and there’s a very small difference in taste.
