Twisted Tales

TWISTED TALES || cinderella

As much as I love the recent movie because Lily James and Richard Madden are quite brilliant, I would love (another) diverse take on Cinderella. The 1997 musical version of it remains one of my favourites because the story is amazing, the music is wonderful, and the cast is just perfect.

Twisted Tales is a series of photosets depicting POC fancasts of fairytales that are traditionally cast as not-POC.

Cinderella

Featuring:
Jessica Lucas as Cinderella
Godfrey Gao as the Prince
Melissa Ponzio as the Fairy Godmother
Tia Carrere as the Stepmother

She rose hastily, and flew away like a startled fawn. The prince attempted to follow her, but she was too swift for him; only, as she flew she dropped one of her glass slippers, which he picked up very eagerly. Cinderella reached home quite out of breath, without either coach or footmen, and with only her shabby clothes on her back; nothing, in short, remained of her recent magnificence, save a little glass slipper, the fellow to the one she had lost.

    This is the first twisted tales that I have seen and I love the idea of it. So Pinterest pinnable. I am going to have to look up the people cast because I don’t think I know them by name at least.
