It’s 2019!

As I write this, it’s two days before the fact, but still. 2019 is promising to be very exciting on the book front, and hopefully things will be good on the personal front too. There are already a few events I’m looking forward to – my daughter’s second birthday, my childhood best friend’s wedding, my other best friend moving back to South East Asia. Exciting times ahead!

new year new page

On the professional/blogging front, well, there are a few things I’m going to put down that I want to do.

I’ll be putting my Goodreads challenge at 5 books, because I know myself, and I stress myself out when I see too big a number and drive myself into a slump. Also, I’m going to be honest, it makes me feel absurdly happy when I see that I’ve exceed my challenge, especially if I do it early in the year.

I’m going to try and take part in a few Bookstagram challenges this year, or at least try to be more consistent with my Bookstagram. I definitely fall behind on this every year, so I’m going to try and work on it.

The little shop I have up and running will also be going through a bit of a rebranding. The book box I was trying to put together was not going so well, and was honestly stressing me out, so I’m stopping with the box and keeping up with the bookmarks. Hopefully things go well. I’ll also probably be redesigning the blog over the next few months.

And I hope to get to take part in a few blog tours or events this year as well. We’ll see how it goes, though.

It’s 2019, you guys! New year, new plans, new resolutions? What are your plans for 2019?
