Why I’ll Be Reviewing Less Books On The Blog

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a book review on here. A number of months, really, and that’s not been because I haven’t been reading. I have! More than I have in a long while, even. I’ve hit 10 books this year already, and 10 was my aim when I set up my GR Challenge.
But the thing is, I set out a few years ago to have my blog posts on a schedule. A slow one – once every two weeks – and the initial plan was for reviews to go up whenever. Plans have a way of not working out, and now I’ve switched things up on here and – I guess reviews won’t be posted on here much anymore.

I want to keep this blog running, I will keep posting reviews – especially of any ARCs I may recieve or any books I absolute HAVE to talk about (5 stars or bust!) or any books my friends are putting out there in the world – but they won’t be happening as often. In a nutshell, I won’t be posting reviews of every book I read here. But I will still be posting a short review of everything I read on Goodreads (link), they‘re just going to look different now.
I’m not going to stress myself out about writing down every single thought I’ve had about the books I read, is the thing. I’m going to at least have a short paragraph, and for books I want to gush about, a lot more, but this blog isn’t going to see pages of reviews anymore. And I’m not sorry about it.
In fact, I think I’m excited about it. Besides my prompt round up posts, I’m going to have to actually think about things to write. Which will be something. It’s been a while since I’ve looked up prompts and discussion post ideas and events. Maybe I’ll even do a bingo of some sort. That’s sort of become a thing I do in my journal so – it could be fun.

It’s going to be fun. Or at least, that’s what I’m hoping. And I hope you enjoy it with me.
