This quarter was “the one with the delayed treatment”. Which, let me say, I’ll never be doing again. Not the treatment – this was the 4th round of this particular MS medication and prognosis has been better than the previous I was on! – but the putting it off until the school holidays were over. I can do it earlier next time if it coincides!

Other than the way that made me feel mid-May, it’s been a pretty good quarter. I went to see my parents during which both my sisters and their husbands also visited – whole family sitting around the dining table chit-chatting and cracking jokes was so fun. My parents came for a couple of days in June too on their way to a holiday.

I’ve once again fallen back into playing FFXIV. A friend bought me the full game for my birthday last year – thank you, TSB! – and I have no qualms with now rushing through MSQ. I’ve even streamed it a couple of times on Twitch! Well, that and Mentor, a solo RPG that I was playing slowly and posting on Ko-fi for Forwards tier members. It was so much fun, and I think solo RPGs might be a thing I keep doing.

We also found a library near home! Well, I say we but it was actually my father in law. Now members of said library so we can borrow physical books (and not just the e-books I sometimes borrow from the Singapore library). Gur, Sur and I came home with 4 books each. I finished one (an MG novel I’d never heard about before) the day after I borrowed it

On the writing front, well, I talked about why I’ve taken my books down from the major e-retailers due to D2D’s new policy on various platforms. I’m not sure when they’ll be back up on those platforms but they can be purchased via Ko-fi and Itchio! Initially, the plan was to bundle Wreathed In Flame And Smoke with this editions free story for December. However, as I am no longer beholden to D2D’s publishing restrictions, that’s no longer the case so the short story is now out on Ko-fi and Itchio!

I’ve resumed working on a few short stories that, while are near and dear to my heart, have been giving me trouble. Recently started streaming again – a mix of gaming streams and writing ones! – with the hopes of getting them done! That is actually how I completed a few fanfics and my Pride And Prejudice sequel novel, so fingers crossed they work for these WIPs! The cosy fantasy outline is also close to done. I’m not sure when I’ll begin drafting, but having the breakdown is – different, if I’m honest. I’m usually a plantster, so fully planning? New for me! We’ll see if I actually stick to the outline.

I have mentioned it on Bluesky a few times, but I am part of the Street Team for Mylee J. Miller‘s Heart Of Bone releasing Spring 2027! I am honestly so stoked for Mylee’s debut novel – I’ve had the chance to read some of Mylee’s work before as someone who has exchanged writing with her, and she is SO talented. Keep an eye out because I will be hyping it and her up on social media. [You can add the book on Goodreads now!]

A part of me is wondering if I should up how many newsletters I send out. Are four a year too less, etcetra etcetra. What are your thoughts?

If you like my content, consider leaving me a tip on Ko-fi!
