Last month’s prompt was another song – with lyrics translated and pointed out! – chosen by l’poni. I didn’t use the lyrics specifically, but there was something about the music that immediately gave me a story idea. I don’t know how well it worked but I might revisit this universe someday! NEWSLETTER SNIPPETS; Issue #7
I can’t believe the first quarter of 2026 has passed. The first newsletter went out about a week ago now, with an update on just how eventful 2026 has been so far! You can sign up here! Both of my kids have their birthdays during these three months – the youngest in Jan and the oldest in March – so there was the trappings of making sure they had a celebration they enjoyed in school with their friends. February has been a productive month for me, though it’s also brought me a little bit of reflection. Overall, hoping the rest of this quarter of the year goes the way the first two months have been going! This month’s prompt was chosen by Morris. I went through a cycle of grief – started a story, hated it, scraped it and wrote something else in an entirely different genre – with this. 2026 is off to a start, isn’t it? I can’t say much about the state of the world, or what will come, but on a writing front, our little server is going strong. NEWSLETTER SNIPPETS; Issue #6
The last newsletter of 2025 went out a couple of weeks ago. I can’t believe I’ve sent out six of these already and also started sending out short stories with alternate ones. November has come to a close. With it, 2025 is coming to a close too. It’s been quite the year. If you’ve been following along on this page (and my newsletter), you’ll know just how much of a year it’s been. But writing has been happening, my daily streak has been going strong, and I haven’t missed a prompt story yet! This month’s prompt was a song suggested by me! Can you believe we’re in November? And last month’s prompt was a little more – shall we say, sad?
