AUTHOR AVENGERS; May Round Up
Last month’s prompt was chosen by me! I’ve really enjoyed the songs we’ve used, and I’ve fallen back down the rabbit hole of Urdu shayari, or poetry, so I found a couple that I enjoyed and shared them in the Discord. One of the two I shared spoke to me more than the other, so that’s the one I went with. It gave me a chance to revisit the character of Anam and the Waypoint from one of the first prompt stories I wrote, which is always nice. Let me know what you think! AUTHOR AVENGERS; May Round Up
It’s May – or Star Wars month as Josh and L’poni and Morris reminded us in the Author Avengers server – so having a Star Wars-esque prompt seemed like the thing to do. I am a self-proclaimed no.1 Jedi fan, so I took it upon myself to find a quote from Buddha themself (the inspiration behind Jedi philosophies) for this month’s prompt: I leaned heavily into the similarities between the Jedi and Sikhism for this story, and I hope you enjoy it! After a couple of months of struggling with the prompts – though I am proud of the fact that I managed to write them anyway – May brought about a prompt I was not just excited by, but also inspired by.
