    AUTHOR AVENGERS; March Round Up

Half of this month’s been busy with my kids as they were on holiday for Hari Raya – or Eid – but I did get writing done! March’s prompt was chosen by Josh, and it was definitely a fun one. How did I do? INDEX:Aradhna Kaur (me!) – The Dragon, The Old Lady & Me As per usual, any stories going up after today will be added to the list later! If you like my content, consider leaving me a tip on Ko-fi!

    AUTHOR AVENGERS; February Round Up

February has been a productive month for me, though it’s also brought me a little bit of reflection. Overall, hoping the rest of this quarter of the year goes the way the first two months have been going! This month’s prompt was chosen by Morris. I went through a cycle of grief – started a story, hated it, scraped it and wrote something else in an entirely different genre – with this. I have to say, writing comedy is always fun even if I don’t know whether it lands well for readers. Let me know! INDEX:Morris Wayts – Too Much To AskAradhna Kaur (me!) – A Little Chaos As per…

    New Books Coming Soon!

I didn’t expect to add more things under my Goodreads account last year, and yet last year I went up from one to two e-books! Both What Happened In Vegas and The Ferryman’s Wife And The Black Fox are available on most e-retailers and Ko-fi, something that I wouldn’t have thought I’d have done just a few short years ago. But getting over that first hurdle has given me a little bit of confidence, even if sales are slow. This year, the aim is to add (at least) three more things to my list. Two more short stories are planned for this year, one of which has already been formatted…

    AUTHOR AVENGERS; January Round Up

2026 is off to a start, isn’t it? I can’t say much about the state of the world, or what will come, but on a writing front, our little server is going strong. It’s always nice to have a group of writers to talk to, who are encouraging and understanding. This month’s prompt was chosen by L’poni, as it’s their mother’s birthday month! I revisited what I call the Mirrorverse, the world I didn’t expect to have created with the very first prompt when we started this initiative. You can read the previous parts of this ‘verse from here. INDEX: Morris Wayts – Falling StarAradhna Kaur (me!) – Tangled Bonds…

    AUTHOR AVENGERS; December Round Up

It’s the end of the year, and while I’m pretty sure we’ll be continuing on with the tradition of prompt stories next year – this makes, what? 2 and a half years of prompts? I can’t quite believe it, but it has been so much fun. This month’s prompt was chosen by Morris, and because I do not celebrate Christmas and the prompt didn’t specify which holiday, I went with one from my own culture. It was a little bit inspired by a Hallmark movie, which I do recommend! INDEX:Aradhna Kaur (me!) – Five Days Of Vesakhi  As per usual, any stories going up after today will be added to the list later! If…

How I Keep To My Posting Schedule

It’s been a few years of consistently having a few platforms. They’ve changed in appearance, in name – this year’s username change was a long time in the making! – but I have been managing to keep at it. It took me a while to get into a groove with keeping to a schedule, and I struggled at first, taking on more than I could manage – does anyone else remember the attempt to post on YouTube and Instagram weekly? It burnt me out pretty quickly – but now I like to think I’ve settled on something I can handle. The key to being able to keep afloat instead of…

    AUTHOR AVENGERS; November Round Up

November has come to a close. With it, 2025 is coming to a close too. It’s been quite the year. If you’ve been following along on this page (and my newsletter), you’ll know just how much of a year it’s been. But writing has been happening, my daily streak has been going strong, and I haven’t missed a prompt story yet! This month’s prompt was a song suggested by me! I highly recommend listening to Inkpot Gods by The Amazing Devil because it is so good. I enjoyed writing to it on repeat, and the lyrics make for fantastic titles (see below!). INDEX:Alex Roma – to those gods i will speak…

OHHOW And The Joys Of Writing Streams

Last weekend, I took part in a writing event on Twitch after almost a year. OHHOW, or One Hundred Hours Of Writing, is a streaming event aiming to connect writers all over the world and encourage them to work on their projects – or anything, really – with the online community cheering them on. They track words, minutes, and turn what can be an isolating hobby or career into something fun and even competitive at times. I’ve streamed with them before, but last year I was locked out of my account and could not. I recently got access back and so was very excited to stream for the event again.…

    AUTHOR AVENGERS; October Round Up

Can you believe we’re in November? And last month’s prompt was a little more – shall we say, sad? A little more final and yet the offerings from my fellow writers still manage to highlight the goodness and kindness and empathy people show if only they choose to. (Yes, I said offerings. We have more than one this past month!) The prompt itself was suggested by L’poni, and I definitely had fun adapting a (rejected) submission offering into my story. I hope you enjoy them all. AUTHOR AVENGERS; September Round Up

It’s officially more than two years since we started these prompts. It’s allowed me to try so many new genres and styles of storytelling across a span of so many different sorts of prompts. This month’s prompt was set by Ash and I’ll be honest, I almost went for something extremely tragic based on my religious history. I’ve been doing a bit of reading and learning again on the history of my ancestors and the prompt is perfect for that. While the story I ultimately wrote is still inspired by history, it’s not that first tragic story I thought of. (Maybe someday I’ll be able to write that without crying…
