CONTENT CREATION 203: ‘One Size Fits All’ Does Not Apply

If there is one thing I’ve learned over the years of writing and content creation, it is that everybody has their own methods and approaches. Even all these posts I’ve been making are things I have read or learned from other people, adapted for myself, while disregarding other pieces of advice that did not work for me.
CONTENT CREATION 101: Commit To What You Create
CONTENT CREATION 102: Find Your Own “Write Drunk, Edit Sober”
CONTENT CREATION 103: The First Draft Is For You
CONTENT CREATION INTERLUDE: The Procrastination Problem
CONTENT CREATION 201: Believe In Your Message
CONTENT CREATION 202: Compare Only To Yourself

I’ve seen many tutorials and resources over time. These have been a mixed bag of helpful, and really not at all. Someone else’s methods may not work for you the same way when you try it. You may disagree with it vehemently.
Or maybe something they say resonates with you and you adapt your own approach to creating content to use part of it.
It is not that I have not tried out the different approaches I have read about and seen over the years. There are many cases where I have added certain tips and tricks to my own methods of creating content and disregarded others.
The facts are this:
Pull inspiration and ideas from the resources at hand, but do not bind yourself to them if they do not work for you.
Build your own approach to creating content. What works for someone else may not work for you. And that’s okay.

- Have there been any tips or tricks you have picked up over the years?
- What is something that you have adapted to work for you?
- What is your approach to content creation, and learning about it?
Content creation is not “one size fits all”. Find what fits you. It may take some time and remember, you can keep changing it as you grow and evolve as a creator.
