The Ins & Outs Of Creating Content
When I first got on LinkedIn, I didn’t know what I would ever really post on the site. It seemed intimidating and far too professional and proper for the likes of me. It has been a few years since then, and I think I’ve hit a groove on how I prefer to write articles and posts that translates to here and Ko-Fi very well. Why, then, could it not translate to LinkedIn? Then it was a matter of figuring out what to post. Connecting my platforms to one another was key, and so, writing about creating content has become my thing. There is no ‘one size fits all’ for creating…

Letters Through The Verse
In mid-2021, a writer I am friends with on Twitch and Discord – MelodyRelody – brought up a writing project of sorts that she wanted to try, and hadn’t had the chance to yet as there was not a group of people who were as interested in it or had the means for it. As it was brought up in HayleyHCreates‘ writing server, naturally, there were a number of us intrigued by it. Interest? Check. Means? For the most part, check. Numbers? Check. ;the case of the imposter syndrome
I’ve been meaning to talk more about fanfiction. Last month, I wrote about reading and writing fanfiction. These points still stand, but there is a downside to my writing fanfiction. And my writing in general. When I write fanfiction, it is usually because I have Very Strong Feelings about the treatment of a character, or a pairing, or a storyline in a show. It’s not necessarily an opinion that other people agree with, though thankfully I’ve never gotten any hate anywhere I’ve posted my stories, but it’s something that I have to write to get it out of my system. Once I write the story and post it somewhere, however,…

;five reasons I read fanfiction (and five reasons I write it)
I love fanfiction. I’ve been reading it since I was a teenager, and writing it just as long, even if I never posted those anywhere. It’s fun, and sometimes messy, and if you’re searching on Archive Of Our Own (AO3)? Usually tagged well so you can avoid triggers and other things that may make you uncomfortable. More information and the full #Project14Lists can be found here. Someday, I will actually sit down and write a more coherent post about why I love fanficiton with links to some of my favourites, and maybe even my own, but today is not that day. Today is a day for a little bit of…

;press play (and lets write)
One of the first few posts I planned when I started blogging was Press Play, a post about music and creating playlists in relation to books. This was, oh, sometime last year, and in turned into a post asking for websites I could use to post my playlists on. Today, I give you part 2 of that post, this time with regards to writing. It is NaNoWriMo, after all, and even if I’ve fallen WAY behind on my word count, I can still talk about making playlists for my projects, right? Right. As mentioned in my last blog post, I am attempting to work on four projects. From these four,…
